Witches and mob wives – that was the design inspiration behind our collaborative collection of sunglasses. It was also, coincidentally, my dream brief as I am fascinated by the history of witchcraft and its connection to feminism. For the campaign storytelling, I really wanted to capture the essence of a witch as a cultural trope, with her mysterious air, rebellious nature and confident femininity that charms like a love potion. Her personality is expressive, moody, alluring, witty… Her black magic is the seductive summertime mischief she somehow always gets into (and always gets away with).

To our witch I added elements of the mob wife trope – glamorous, empowered and definitely up to something. Except, in our story, she’s not “just” the wife of a powerful man – she’s calling the shots.
